The purposes of this blog are to promote awareness about the upcoming Blues Ball hosted by Friends of St. Jude, Birmingham and also to raise money in support of the Blues Ball event. While we do have some incredibly generous sponsors, our total sponsorship has not been what we had hoped for and therefore lessens our donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Donations may be down but St. Jude's operating costs are certainly not and this is why it is so important for us to go above and beyond to help. Friends of St. Jude is a non-profit group made up of strictly volunteers who have worked tirelessly over the past several months to put together this event. We each would like nothing more than to see it be the most successful fundraiser it can be!
"But the economy right now..." I know, I know. Money is precious these days. However, all that I am asking is that each person give what they can, $1, $5, $10...whatever you feel you can sacrifice to donate to this incredible cause and help make this event a huge success. 100% of your donations go directly to help St. Jude.
I apologize for the lack of PayPal feature since recent but St. Jude has requested that donations be made directly to them through their website so they are able to immediately provide you the necessary tax deduction form!
